Current Needs

To provide the orphaned children in its care with a comfortable home, healthy food, safe drinking water, clean clothing, adequate health care, quality education, and Christian love in a family atmosphere, Eagles Wings Children’s Village needs many things. 

 

Needs for Beth Pipe Nursery and primary School

1. Wiring of the new school structure – $3,500 CAD

2. 50,000ltr Rain water conservation tank (underground) – $5,500 CAD

3. Teachers’ toilet system – $2,800 CAD

4. Kitchen structure fitted – $15,000 CAD

5. Bio gas system for the kitchen – totaling to $12,100 CAD (Including a kraal for $5,000, six cows for $3,600 and a bio gas digestor, piping and stoves all for $3,500)

6. Staff quarters for the teachers – $45,000 CAD

7. Class text books for P. 7 class starting Feb 2011 – $2,960 CAD

8.  More text books for P.1 to P.5 classes – $2,590.5 CAD  (P.1 – $485, P.2 – $335.5, P.3 – $479, P.4 – $521 and P.5 – $770)

Assistance Needed to Purchase Playground Equipment for Beth Pipe and Nursery School at EWCV Uganda

We now have our new school without any playground equipment for the children. President, Jim Rosene, of Kids Around the World, wrote back to me to say that they are shipping out playground equipment in a 40 foot container to Uganda in ten days. We were told that there are two sets of equipment available ranging between $3500 to $7000 USD and asked if we have any funding to purchase a set for our new school. At this point we don’t have any funding at all as we have been concentrating on trying to complete our new school with any donations coming to EWCV. If there is any organization or individuals who would like to assist us with purchasing a set of playground equipment for our children, would you please let us know immediately so we can contact Jim to include us in the shipment? Family Three building construction needs breakdown – totaling to $70,000 CAD

1. Four Children’s residence huts – each at $6,000 CAD

2. Dining hut – $8,000 CAD

3. Kitchen (with food storage room, cooking area and cook’s residence room) – $10,000 CAD

4. Family parents’ house – $12,000 CAD

5. Latrine – $8,000 CAD

6. Wiring and solar fixtures $4,000 CAD

7. Plumbing (including water piping, water tanks etc) – $4,000 CAD

Farm Labour, Equipment and Supplies

Land clearing – $400 CAD twice a year
Tractor rental and gasoline – $32 CAD per acre
Seeds, tubers, and seedlings for planting – $300 CDN twice a year

Sponsorship of Children

Each child – $40 CAD

Anyone in USA making a donation to Eagles Wings Children’s Village Inc. will be issued with an Income Tax Receipt by making out a cheque to “Real Partners Uganda, Inc.”, earmarking the cheque to “Eagles Wings Children’s Village”, and including a note indicating your wish to receive an income tax receipt at the end of the year and that the donation should be directed to EWCV.   Real Partners is allowing us to have donations channeled through them and they will forward any donations directly to our EWCV account in Masaka , Uganda at Barclays Bank.
